1st step for Bookkeeping "Clean-up"

Here are the first few steps you need to know as a bookkeeper with a new client. First gather all the documents you'll need to do the bookkeeping work: bank statements, receipts, payroll reports, bank deposit records and possibly a copy of their last tax return. Then, take a look inside the client's QuickBooks Online and see where issues may be. Next, talk with your client to learn more about their financial workflows--where are they earning income and what do they spend regularly? What are common vendors and all the accounts they use? Then, I go over exactly where to start in QBO.
