Bookkeeping for Start-Up Businesses

What does bookkeeping for start-up companies look like? Is this a good niche to work with?

In this video, I go through the pros and cons of working for a start-up company—one that’s just been in business a short time and is still relatively small. I’ve found that start-ups often require the bookkeeper to create systems and have the confidence to bring ideas to the business owner because they’re still in the learning phase themselves.

Start-ups can be a lot of fun, but some bookkeepers don’t enjoy the less structured environment that this niche provides.
