How do artificial intelligence (AI) & botkeepers affect the bookkeeping industry?

I've been asked this question many times by bookkeepers or people thinking about starting a bookkeeping business. It's true that the bookkeeping industry is changing based on new AI technology, but that isn't always a bad thing.

I've seen advancements in the last 9ish years that have made my job as a bookkeeper easier (more efficient/take less time, less busywork) and allowed me to think of my services as a value instead of an hourly rate. I also talk about how you can adapt your bookkeeping business to level up on the "robots."
